Coquat Ranch

     Welcome!  Members of the Coquat family have always had an affinity for cattle and horses - it runs in the blood.   Even to skip a generation, it always comes back seemingly out of the blue.  This piece of land near Aransas Pass, Texas has been home to Charolais cattle and myself since I was born.  In 2006, about 50 acres was set aside and the conversion began for inclusion of a small horse breeding farm at the ranch.  The horse breeding operation is young and swiftly developing.  I hope to offer boarding services and both bovine and equine artificial insemination services in the future.  I am a fifth year student at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.  I take my breeding program in Aransas Pass seriously and strive to produce quality AQHA and APHA horses.  This program is part of a huge dream of mine and wouldn't be possible without the help of my family, who either live at the ranch or who make the time to come out and work on it.

     The ranch is located about 30 miles northeast of Corpus Christi, Texas near Aransas Pass off Highway 35.

     Here on the ranch, we strive to produce extraordinary AQHA and APHA painted performers.  Our goals include beautiful horses with excellent conformation and color.  Our horses are influenced by SHOTS FLYING SPARK, TWO EYED JACK, DOC OLENA, MR GUN SMOKE, SMART LITTLE PISTOL, PEPPY SAN BADGER, COLONEL FRECKLES, DOC BAR, CALICO SONNY, SONNY DEE BAR, ZIPPO PINE BAR, DONT SKIP ZIP, and many other successful bloodlines.  We cater to a wide variety of performance styles including Cutting, Roping, Reining, Western Pleasure, Halter, and Rodeo Events.
